hey!
so i wake up this morning and look out the window and it is absolutely destroyed outside. it looked like a war zone. there were tree branches everywhere and the cars and powerline out the front had a tree on it and looks like it is about to snap.
so i put on snow boots (harrisons) and a snow jacket and went outside to into the open part of our yard so i didn't get impailed by a falling branch and had a little play, because the snow was about a foot deep and so fluffy and fun.
then i came back inside and just wandered around the house because there was absolutely nothing to do.
started reading the second prequal of the 'private' series, went to sleep, read, slept, then i could hear an alarm going off in my dream so i wake up and our security alarm was actually going off for some reason, so i turned it off and went downstairs (now it is about 2pm) and karens dad was outside plowing our driveway. so that was my first human contact in about 20 hours. then he left and karen got home!
i was fully preparing myself for another night alone, i even went into the basement and got out food that i could eat for dinner and cook on the stove because i could cook it on our gas stove top using a lighter to light it. but instead skip went out to get milk and other stuff and got chicken for dinner from one of the places that was still open. and we sat around the fire - karens mum came over too, and eventually it was 11pm and we decided to go to bed. i slept under five doonas because the heat doesn't work obviously and it is almost as cold inside the house as it is outside now.
oh and the hot water will run out soon too, so we will have to limit showers, gross i know, but there is no way you can shower under cold water in this weather.
oh and they say the power will be out for another three days. kill me.
i hope none of you are worrying because i am unreachable. i am fine! x
