hey!
so last night i presumed i had set my alarm, turns out i didn't.
because this morning i wake up and think to myself wow, it is really quite, everyone must still be in bed, and then i think, no its too light outside, so i look at the time and it was 9:30! oh my lord.
i ran downstairs, and was like 'kids why didn't you wake me up?!' and they are all like 'oh well we didn't even think about it, like we didnt realise you were here' - karen had gone to work and they didnt think i was home, so i guess they thought they were home alone. lol
then everything is going well, they are watching tv, i started a movie on my laptop downstairs with them, and then, bam. no power.
jesus christ. you are freakin kidding me.
so i called joanne and she said we could go around to her house.
first we went to the library so i could get the book 'lies' which is the next one in the gone series.
then to maccas, i got the kids a 20 pack of nuggets for $4.98! love america, and a large fries, that i won on the monopoly game.
then we went to joannes and they watched finding nemo while joanne took harrison with her to help a friend.
so i tidying up her house, then the kids and i cleaned up the basement - it has a whole heap of toys in it - and then we went to gymnastics with rachel.
she is super good! doing things that the other kids couldn't!
went and got harrison from joannes, took the kids to deangelos for dinner, it was hilarious.
god we had a good night. they were so funny while we were eating.
oh and by that stage we found out that our power had come back on! wooooooooooo!
came home and thennnnn we carved our pumpins!
it was hard - i did a template one (the kids drew their own designs) and it was a three out of four pumpins difficulty rating. andddd it turned out awesome.
i shall post photos soon!
now i am trying to skype with rachel nelson, the kids are in bed, and i am exhusted.
great day though.
goodnight! x
p.s the kids were home again today because it was a teachers in-service day.
tomorrow school is closed for "safety reasons"... so they will be home again. that brings the count up to about 10 days of missed school already - and they have only been at school for two months.
