new york city..

hey guys!
so i am writing this the day after instead of on the night because i have been in new york. yes, be jealous.
i slept until eleven, got up and the started getting ready for that night straight away. it was super weird. i curled my hair, did my eyes with my new pretty eye stuff, and wore a purpley blue dress with a  black jacket and gold jewellrey. then lauren picked me up and we met jens and clara at her house and all took jens' car to hartford where the bus station is and left it in the locked parking overnight..
caught the two oclock bus and got there at four thirty. was extremely bored though because we only had our little sling bags with us and couldn't bring anything to entertain ourselves.
side note - we couldn't get a motel/bed and breakfast/hostel or anything! possibley because we left it until three days before we were supposed to go to book, but still. so hence the reason we had to get ready at lunch time, catch a later bus, only have a sling bag with essentials in it, and stay awake all night long to catch the four in the morning bus home.
so we got to new york, it is still as amazing as last time i was there, walked to the pier where the cruise was and got to see all the other au pairs from all over america.
the cruise was sooooo good! it went for about four hours and we pretty much just danced the whole time.
so after it finished we went to a 24 hour diner, classic new york, and got some food. they made the best omlettes i have ever eaten.
then we started walking to times square, got side tracked on the way there at the movies, because get this right, they are like a 24 hour movie joint. and we were at the one in the morning session so you would think that it would only be a couple of people in there, but no, it was your average session, the place was full. and people were actually sleeping in there. not just 'whoops i was tired and closed my eyes' sleeping, full on laying across the seats, using coats as pillows and blankets and not even watching the movie, just there to sleep.
so we saw bridesmaids, absolutely hilarious! oh my god, it was so funny. you all need to go and see it. i pretty much wet myself with laughter.
oh and its true the whole 'city that never sleeps', we came out afterwards and anyone would think it was the middle of the day.
so we went back to the bus station, i brought two bottles of water i was so damn thirsty, i could have drunk a river, and then i slept the whole way home.
so the bus got here at like six thirty, i got dropped home and then pretty much just got into bed. and have been asleep ever since.
will let you know tonight how my day has been/will be.
