hello!
monday... oh monday, such a busy day.
so the two older boys were still with their dad, which was nice, so very very quiet and calm this morning..
i got all the housework and washing done and then i sat with the twins while they did their summer 'don't forget anything i taught you' work books.
then we had lunch and went to blue fox rock'n'bowl, for bowling and mini golf.
so get this right.. we get there and bowling is closed.
strange because the reason we went on a monday is because on the website it states that 'monday special - play 1 game of bowling and mini golf and get an icecream for $9.95 each'... so i tell the girl at the mini golf and she is like 'uhm no that is any day' so i said that it said it was a monday special, but no, i she says that it doesn't say that, evennnnnn though the customer is ALWAYS right, and i am freakin right!
geeeezzzz.
so we just played golf instead. got through 18 holes, a major temper tantrum, about five lost golf balls, and six screaming kids... but in the end, all was good.
we all got an icecream, which rachel dropped before she got in the car - and the tantrum started all over again, ending in her crying her little self to sleep on the way home - and then we all had a little rest on the lounge.
the boys got home, the twins went for a playdate, the boys and i played "chase and destroy danielle" and then it was time for me to cook dinner...
then robyn picked me up and we got lauren and then went to west hartford to the sushi train.
so we are driving along the highway, get to a traffic jam because of roadworks, and there is an ambulance in front of us, with a person inside! in the bed, hurt, going to the hospital, in the back! but they didn't have their lights on, and they were driving as slow as everyone else, which is super weird..
because if it was urgent enough to call the ambos then shouldn't it be urgent enough for lights and fast and the furious, not driving miss daisy?
then we got to dinner! it was delicious. i looked forward to it all day long.
went to the cheescake factory (not an actual factory, it is infact a resteraunt, stupid right) to get a slice of cheesecake for dessert. i got carrot cake cheesecake.. best dessert ever!
and then i got dropped home and i am ready to fall asleep.
