day seven.

friday -
so we started our day with a movie - while karen and skip went to the beach to look for sea glass.
then we played a whole heap of games for an hour or so before we went to the wildlife museam.
it this hands on interactive place your take kids, and it was great. there were games and puzzles and crafts and scavenger hunts all for the kids to do.. which meant all i had to do was wander around and make sure they weren't killing each other.
then on our way home, joanne wanted to see if we could find some house her friend had worked on, so we went "adventure driving" and kept going to dead ends, which meant i ahd to reverse five thousand times, in a mini van with a bike rack attached to the back!
so after about twenty minutes we gave up and went home.
then we went to the beach for the last time, the water was freezing, but we all swam anyway.
then skip stayed home with the kids while the rest of the adults went to the clam shack for dinner.. because he said i couldn't go there and not eat clams.
i discovered that like 'bellies' not 'strips', after a quick taste test before ordering. all it means is that, you know when you eat an oyster and it has all the watery stuff in the shell, well thats the bellie.
after we got home and it got dark i played hide and seek with the kids, but downstairs with all the lights off and whoever was in wore G's night vision goggles, which was hilarious. at one point we thought rachel disappeared becure we couldn't find her.. and the boys started freaking out lol
then they went to bed and we started getting things together for packing in the morning.

p.s today was hot. and humid. 42 degrees to be exact.. but humid! it was disgusting.
