hey!
well happy american valentines day!
i drove back home this morning, and the kitchen was full of love heart healium balloons and the kids had love heart shaped waffles for breakfast - i restrained myself though, and had multi grain cherios instead - they got all their valentine gifts together and then went to school.
america makes the biggest deal out of valentines day - the kids all get a secret valentine at school that they have to buy a present for and then they take a small valentine card with some sort of candy to give to everyone in the class. it isn't like that in australia right? we never did that at school? the only time you gave gifts was if you had a boyfriend/girlfiend and you were over the age of like 14... and i cant ever remember waking up and it being any different to any other day..
anyways, when the kids left i cleaned up from breakfast, swept, had a nanna nap, made myself and the kids (for afternoon snack) chocolate covered strawberries, had lunch, went to the gym for an hour and a half, came home and showered and then the kids were home...
my guess is that they ahve been eating suagr all day ling and so they were as hypo as ever and homework was a major headache.
then we took harrison to tae kwon do, i made dinner, picked harrison up, and then finshed at 7pm.
came back to laurens and now i am eating my chocolate strawberries, having a cuppa, with a face mask on and watching gossip girl from last night..
