60.

hey!
this week is supposed to be mid-winter break, but because of the masssive snow storm on october and the hurricane in september they had too many days off and so now they have to make them up which means that instead of having five days off they only get two - they hate it, me? well i'm not exactly complaining..
so the kids were all at home today.
i woke up, stopped to get milk and petrol on my way there.. i could ahve sworn the car was going to break down because the fuel guage was so low, but it didn't. and then at the petrol station no one even battered an eye lash when i walked in in my bright pink snowman covered pj pants with boots and a winter jacket - because you see, in america, pajamas are socially acceptable, it is super weird.
got home and the kids and i had breakfast.. rachel and i worked on her project on jane addams who won a noble prize in 1934 - i know this because i now know everything there is to know about jane addams - rachel and i have been practising all day because she has to memerise everything about her and then pretend to be her on thursday.
then at 11:30 we left home and went to ESPN for lunch, and got a tour as well. so that was cool, and karen is looking into a shot glass for my collection.
then we came home, i went digging in the attic for the swimmers box because i took the kids to the indoor pool at the gym for a swim with their grandma and friends of the family.
then by the time we were home from that it was 5pm. so we played cards while i folded washing, and then i made dinner and we played mastermind.
got the kids showered and teeth brushed, finished at 7pm, and then ten minutes later julia called and said she was stuck in hartford because her host mum forgot to pick her up and asked if i could get her.
so because i am such a brilliant friend, i went and got her, dropped her home, went to starbucks, booked NYC for this weekend - which by the way isn't even a hostel. it some fancy hotel on the upper west side, three blocks from central park! can. not. wait.
then i rushed home, soomed through the shower, got back in the car and came to laurens to feed the poor dog at 10pm.
now i am so ready for bed. although i may just read a little more of my book. seriously read it. nineteen minutes - jodi picoult. you will not regret it.
goodnight xo
