off to a not so great start..

hello!
well today was my first FULL day with ALL FOUR kids at home.
and of course, it rained, all. day. long.
so our plans to have a  playdate with lauren and her kids at the park in the morning and then go to the pool all afternoon, were cancelled.
so i woke up at 8, went and got the kids breakfast and got them to get dressed. then i cleaned the house, washed their clothes and then we did nothing.
mainly because we couldn't go outside, but alsso because the kids didn't actually want to do anything.
so they have literally been either watching tv or playing the computer all day long.
which i didn't want them to, but since school only finished yesterday, i figure its okay if not every day they are doing something productive.
then i explained how we will all eat lunch together at the same time so i don't have four kids telling me they want lunch over a three hour time period, and they seemed fine with that.
then at about 3 the kids dad came and took them to the library, but rach had a fever and was super angry and upset, so she stayed home and i made her have a nap.
then after the boys got home i started dinner, the kids ate (well mostly mucked around and didn't eat) but in the end, all worked out.
and so when karen got home, i cleaned up from dinner, had a shower and i am now relaxing in my room.
its going to be a loonnggggg summer.
my finger and toes are crossed for glorious sunshine tomorrow.
i'm going to have a cuppa.
