hello!
so today started off just the same, but it was super hot and muggy..
i had the aircon on all day and all the windows and blinds closed, it was so nice.
then i went to the gym. so after the treadmill and crosstrainer i do weight things on these machines, so i start doing them as normal and then these two big buff guys come along and they start using them as well, which was fine, except when i wanted to use the ones i was up to they were just resting on them and having a chat.. so annoying.
so i went and rowed instead to wait, 10 minutes later they finally decide that they had done enough.
and then they go over to the weights near the mirrors and i was watching them, and one was full on checking himself out in the mirror. this is what he would have been thinking to himself while looking at his reflection, according to me - "woah, you are looking mighttyyyyy fine today. look at those muscles. i am just so hot, like the hottest person here actually." hahaha
then i left and had to get mince for tacos tonight. and i know your all thinking, gross she went to the store after working out, but i couldn't just leave the mince in the hot car while i was at the gym, so it was my only option. everyone in america wears joggers and "sweats" all the time casually anyways, so i pretty much fit in. i got the mince, and kept a nice distance between me and anyone else so they couldn't smell me, and then came home and showered.
bummed around for a little bit and then the kids came home.
so after homework and snacks, i had to drop G at his friends that lives three houses down because they were taking him to dinner with them, and then take the rest of the kids to j.fosters which is an icecream place for matt's baseball teams end of season get together.
here is the part that i am glad i got through alive..
so when we left our street it had just started to sprinkle, as we got further from the house it poured. and poured and poured. and then hailed as well. i could see maybe a metre in front of the car. had my windscreen wipers going full speed, which was barely fast enough. there was thunder and constant lightening. tress were fallen and there were branches across the road.
and i had three kids who weren't mine in the car with me. i was almost crying i was so scared. it was horrible.
and so then the first place there was to take shelter was dunkin' donuts.
so i parked the car in the middle of the carpark, away from trees and power poles, and we made a run for it into the shop. got absolutely drenched, and it was freezing inside.
so we just ahd to wait it out until the rain died off to come home. which was about half an hour.
then when we finally got home i was so relieved.
oh and we didn't go to the icecream place by the way.
then i got the kids showered, we had dinner, and then ut them to bed, all before 7:30.
so now i am watching hellcats, i am addicted. its so good. i can't believe i didn't watch it in australia on tv.
oh and here they call torches, flash lights and a cake witha custard centre, a boston creme pie. strange i know.
okay well thats all for today. i need to rest after my horror storm story lol
goodnight! x
