its summer!

hey everyone!
its summer here now, and boy oh boy you can feel it. its so hot and humid.
so this morning i had to drop karen at work because the other car died. it actually died. and had to be towed to the mechanics, who still haven't called back about what they are going to do about it.
okay, so all is good, i drop karen at ESPN and then started to drive home, BUT of course there were roadworks on one side of the road i had to turn down and the policeman there wouldn't let me make the right turn and made me go straight.. which was not good, at all.
i only had a map of how to get home, going down that street! so i just kept driving, pulled over into a random car park, called karen - voicemail - left a message and decided to keep driving in the direction that i thought home was.
stopped at a gas station, get out, looking oh so sexy with my pj's on, hair everywhere and no makeup..
asked for directions and then i was on my way home, and yes, i was going in the right direction.
so i finally get home, wash some clothes, make the kids beds and then i went into the basement, after psyching myself out, because i swear that the demon from paranormal activity lives down there, and i did some tidying. but then i somehow just fell asleep. like two hours later i opened my eyes and i was laying on the basement floor. weird. it was just so nice and cool down there, and i had a really bad sleep last night so i guess i was tired, tired enough to fall asleep while cleaning. which i didn't ahve time for because when i woke up it was 1:30..
so i quickly folded the washing, unpacked the dishwasher, had lunch, went to the post office and then to the gym and got home right on three ready for harrison to get home.
then it turned into "one of those days".. all the kids were grumpy, back chatting, fighting, screaming, arguing.. it was never ending.
so we went to baseball, came home and karen had made dinner, so then i left and met the girls at starbucks for some much needed chill out time.
now i am home, and alive - there was a tornado watch today and severe thunderstorm predictions for this afternoon, but no tornado here, fortunately.
oh and just thought i would let you know that take away pizza is called carry out, and a catalogue is called a circular. hahaha
