hey!
sorry its late again!
i was busy cooking up a storm last night and totally forgot.
yesterday G stayed home with a cough so i did all the daily chores, and we just hung out watching tv, but with a good distance between us so i didn't cath any of his nasty germs.
then the school called and rachels teacher wanted me to drop in a text book that she kept leaving at home.
so G stayed in his pj's i got changed and we went in... such a hassle.
and then when harrison got home we went to the younger kids school where they were waiting for me, so i could have an 'au pair teacher' meeting about rachel and what she was supposed to be doing for homework and now needs to catch up.
then we went to drop clothes off at the consignment store - closed, went to borrow books from the library - closed, sooo we came home and watched tv instead while dinner cooked.
then i packed some things and went to the mansion.
first stop - stop and shop.
my plan was to make pavlova for desert (we were having an international cooking night) so i needed cream and fruit for the top, caster sugar and passionfruit pulp.
everythings going great and then i had to ask where the passionfuit would be, and the guy has no idea what i am talking about. so we are walking around and he is like oh it could be here, or here, or here and there was none.. because apparently america doesn't use it. and passionfruits arn't in season so i couldn't even get a fresh one. i pay and leave, get in the car, turn it on, and remember i didn't get the sugar.. back out of the car, and into the store.
the same guy that helped me bfore was stocking shelves in the sugar aisle and i old him i forgot sugar and he asked what type and when i said caster he asked me what that was.. i am like oh for god sake.
so i tell him what it is and he says all they have is brown, raw, confectioners (icing) and granulated (white), and then i left and i blended up white sugar to use instead.
so i got to the mansion and started cooking, put it in the oven, had german potato salad and swedish chicken for dinner and then when i took my pav out it was perfect! by that stage it was 11:30pm, and so i just threw on the cream and fruit, but it was delicious.
then i facetimed with mum, watched a bit of fast five and went to bed.
now everytime i sleep at the mansion i sleep in one of the guest rooms, so last night i slept in a different one, and oh my god the bed is like a cloud. it is huge for starters, perfect mattress, big fluffy pillows and doona that you cant even see over when your laying on your back... i was in heaven, and slept like a baby..
i shall tell you what happened after that, tonight.
